So – you wanna know about who is writing this blog, eh? Well, it’s me!
My name is Sandy and I am married to the love of my life – his name is Brad. We recently followed our dreams and moved from the cold north to the gulf coast of Florida. I was born in Sarasota – so it feels a little like coming home for me.
We have 3 furry kids, Echo (a Shepherd mix) and Kenji (a Shiba Inu), and Piper, a cat who adopted us.
My husband and I enjoy traveling, especially to the beach. We both love spending time near the water, swimming and soaking up the sun. We even got married with our toes in the sand…in Florida, of course!
When we lived in Ohio, we spent time in our travel trailer at our campsite during the summer and fall. It was nice to get away from the house and have mini-vacations. Now that we are in Florida, our camping season will shift from summer to late fall, when the heat and humidity start to subside.
My grandparents lived in Sarasota, so growing up my summer vacations meant going to Siesta Key and Disney World! I have had a great love for all things Disney ever since my first visit to WDW as a toddler in ’72. And now we live close enough to visit Mickey and friends on a regular basis!
Some of my favorite creative pastimes include papercraft, graphic design, painting, designing and making home décor items and jewelry, creating printable downloads, and writing. I also enjoy swimming, reading, going to the shooting range, and spending time with my hubs, and our families and friends.
One day I’ll share more of my story, for anyone interested, but that is for a separate blog post. So, for now, there is “Just a Bit About Me”.
