Baked Buffalo Chicken Tenders

Hubs and I have been trying to eat healthier, and sometimes it can be hard.  I am always on the lookout for new recipes that will satisfy us both and that we can both enjoy.  In my search, I ran across a recipe that called for a seasoning called Chocolate Donut, which peaked my interest and led me to company called FlavorGod. WOW!  Over a dozen unique seasoning blends and I wanted one of everything!

I reined myself in and placed an initial order for 2 flavors, just to make sure we liked them before ordered more.  My first order consisted of Buffalo (because I make a lot of chicken and it can get boring)and Chocolate Donut (because Chocolate).

FlavorGod site states his seasonings do not contain GMOs, preservatives or MSG, that they are certified kosher and have been lab tested as gluten free, and that he uses “100% unprocessed sea salt at only 25-40 milligrams per ¼ teaspoon”, which is much less than other commercial seasonings.

This evening was my first experience using Buffalo Seasoning from FlavorGod.  It was quick, easy, and really YUMMY!   I made baked buffalo chicken tenders and I going to share how I did it.

I started by dipping the chicken breast tenders in melted butter.  To keep it healthier in the future, I will try olive oil or spray butter, to help keep the chicken moist and keep the seasoning ‘stuck’ to it.

I then lightly sprinkled each side of the tenders.  How much seasoning you use is dependent upon your taste.  Hubs doesn’t like overly seasoned food.  This was the perfect amount of flavor for us and it had just a touch of heat.

I placed the seasoned tenders on a baking tray that I had lined with foil and sprayed with Olive Oil cooking spray.  I use foil because my pans are dark and sometimes food really sticks to them.  Again – preference.

I baked the chicken at 375 degrees for 18 minutes.  I wouldn’t usually bake breast tenders that long, but since I also had potatoes in the oven, I wanted to be sure the chicken was done.

I meant to get a photo of the chicken on my plate, nicely arranged with my side items…but, I was hunnggrrryyy…and forgot.  So, you get the finished chicken on the pan.  Not very artistic, I apologize.

Our first experience with FlavorGod Buffalo seasoning was definitely a positive one.  It gave the chicken a zippy flavor without too much heat, and no excess saltiness.  This was a simple and fast main dish that I can make any night of the week.  I am looking forward to using Buffalo seasoning on other foods and to trying Chocolate Donut!
